Smart IOPS Data Engine™ HC series is designed for large storage capacity and high IO bandwidth. The drive employs a completely new firmware architecture that supports a much larger storage capacity while delivering high IO bandwidth.
Powered by our truRandom(R) technology the enterprise class Data Engine™ HC series can support up to 14 GB/s of read bandwidth and 6 GB/s of write bandwidth. The drive can use either the TLC or the QLC NAND memories, scaling to more than 72TB storage capacity in a small form factor. Data Engine™ High Capacity series SSDs can either provide a high endurance of 3 to 5 DWPD by utilizing TLC NAND for read/write heavy workloads or can be cost optimized by deploying QLC NAND for applications that are not write intensive.
Given a very high bandwidth coupled with large capacity the Data Engine™ High Capacity series is suitable for applications that demand very high IO bandwidth along with large amounts of data, for example AI/ML, Object Storage, Video Streaming and VoD, and large DB instances.
